Ressom/Omics Lab

Welcome To Ressom Lab

Ressom Lab is a research group focused on developing multi-omic approaches for biomarker discovery and systems biology research. Our biomarker discovery pipeline involves biospecimen collection, sample preparation, omic data acquisition, data analysis, biomarker selection, and biomarker validation. In addition, we investigate computational methods for integrative analysis of multiple omic data to identify aberrant pathways and network activities. While our computational group is engaged in developing statistical and machine learning methods for analysis of multi-omic data, our wet lab is focused on biospecimen collection, sample preparation, omic data acquisition, and biomarker validation. The laboratory is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to find and validate biomarkers for early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma. We collaborate with clinicians, basic scientists, computational scientists, and experts in mass spectrometry, genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, glycomics, and metabolomics.
